Antes de construir HostFlow, viví el problema como huésped. Cada vez que llegaba a un alojamiento de renta corta, terminaba llamando o escribiéndole al anfitrión por WhatsApp para preguntas simples: cómo se prendía el televisor, cómo funcionaba el aire acondicionado, cómo se usaba la lavadora, cuál era la clave del WiFi. Algunos apartamentos tenían instrucciones en papel, pero muchas veces estaban desactualizadas.
Eso generaba una frustración real, para el huésped y para el anfitrión. Cuando mi hijo empezó a rentar su propio apartamento en Santa Marta, decidí que a él no le iba a pasar lo mismo. Con base en sus necesidades reales, construí HostFlow: un enlace único que reúne todo lo que un huésped necesita saber durante su estancia.
Before building HostFlow, I lived the problem as a guest. Every time I checked into a short-term rental, I ended up calling or texting the host on WhatsApp over simple questions: how to turn on the TV, how the AC worked, how to use the washing machine, what the WiFi password was. Some apartments had paper instructions, but they were often outdated.
That created real frustration, for the guest and for the host. When my son started renting out his own apartment in Santa Marta, I decided he wouldn't go through the same thing. Based on his real needs, I built HostFlow: a single link that brings together everything a guest needs during their stay.
